Tara Harkness
President
tharkness@harknesservices.com

Though Tara herself acknowledges that her creation of HARKNESServices seems a departure from her previous professional endeavors, it really was a natural evolution of her focus on developing viable businesses that are grounded in strategic partnerships.

Through her connection with a food service hood cleaning business owner and after a thoughtful analysis of the business opportunity, Tara launched HARKNESServices in 2011. Employing a proprietary cleaning process, HARKNESServices provides direct and supervised cleaning services and kitchen exhaust management to large, commercial food service operations.

Just a few of Tara's clients are McDonalds, The Ohio State University, Cedar Point, Progressive Field (home of the Cleveland Indians), Mt. Carmel Hospital and the Columbus Convention Center. As company president, Tara guides the company's executive team and drives business development. Sustained growth and expansion beyond her original Ohio base has allowed Tara to establish a social enterprise goal to launch small businesses through contracts in her markets, particularly with minorities, women and veterans.
